Building off the tremendous momentum from our inaugural event in September, we held our second event on the evening of December 19th when we had a good one-hour networking session followed by a great panel discussing Athlete Investors and Entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneurship and business acumen are increasingly important to professional sports athletes as they look to expand the scope of their careers. Athlete investors bring more than capital as they lend their intellect and brand to early stage opportunities as venture investors. This panel took a look at athletes doing business “off the field” as they executing their ideas and invest in others, bringing them well beyond the game.
